Buffers and stabilizes pH levels
Effective against biogenic decalcification
Creates proper living conditions (for example, for African cichlids)
Carbonate hardness (KH) is one of the most important water parameters in an aquarium.
Most freshwater fish species prefer relatively hard water. In addition, KH acts as a buffer to prevent dangerous fluctuations in the pH level (among other things, a sharp drop in the pH level).
For all aquariums with a mixed community, a KH level of at least 6 ° dKH is considered optimal (for African cichlids it is significantly higher). Under these conditions, the fish feel good, the water parameters become quite stable and it is easy to keep them stable.
sera KH / pH-Plus raises the KH precisely and permanently to the desired level. The pH level then rises gently and, above all, is safely stabilized.
Recommended dosage
5 ml sera KH / pH-Plus increases the carbonate hardness of 30 l water by 1 ° dKH. We recommend not increasing the KH in the aquarium by more than 2 ° dKH per day. Check the pH and KH levels with the sera pH-Test and the sera kH-Test (sera kH-Test) 30 minutes before and after application.
